Based in Thibodaux, Louisiana, we are committed to quality craftsmanship and exceptional service. We use only locally sourced cypress that is milled on site then dried in a solar kiln. I am a third generation carpenter. My Great Grandfather built cypress cisterns and my Grandfather was a carpenter for 43 years and built our family home. I previously did finish carpentry in Seaside, Florida for 10 years and have 2 homes in Southern Living Magazine. I then was a boat captain for many years, but grew tired of living on the road. However, I have always come back to carpentry. It is in my blood and my passion.
Snap's Custom Cypress was born from the tragedy of Hurricane Ida. So many cypress trees were damaged and fallen from the hurricane and were begging to be used. Milling the logs and utilizing them to build doors and focal pieces for my home cemented my decision to build custom cypress pieces full time.
